Two revision rounds per milestone is the standard, and it is what Everything Design usually writes into its proposals. A milestone is a named stage, such as strategy, identity routes or guidelines, so a three-stage branding project carries six rounds in total.
One revision round is one consolidated set of feedback from the client team, followed by one revision from the agency. Everything Design asks for that feedback inside five working days. When feedback from different stakeholders conflicts, the client team reconciles it before it reaches us, so one round never becomes three.
A branding agency should show three identity directions, and Everything Design shows three on every brand project: safe, bold and wildcard. The safe direction shows the brief was understood, the bold direction takes a real position on who the brand is for, and the wildcard is the direction the client did not ask for. The right answer is almost never the safe one. Our full method is in Safe. Bold. Wildcard.
After the included rounds, Everything Design states the cost and schedule impact before doing more work, never after. Anything outside the agreed scope is quoted before it is built.
Each revision round adds up to five working days of client review, plus the agency's revision. Everything Design builds that review time into its timelines: strategic branding runs 8 to 16 weeks and a mainly visual identity 3 to 8 weeks, as listed on our pricing page.
Each branding milestone should end in a deliverable the client signs off: the strategy document, then the chosen identity direction, then the guidelines. The full list is in what a branding project delivers, and our approach is on the B2B branding service page.
"Unlimited revisions" in a branding proposal usually means the stages have not been defined. Ask the agency to name each milestone and the rounds inside it.
