How Everything Design Helped AI Tech Diplomacy

AI Tech Diplomacy didn't exist before Everything Design got involved. It's a brand created from scratch — built for a research initiative by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) and India's Centre for Internet and Society (CIS) exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence, technical standards, and international policy. Everything Design's scope was comprehensive: logo design, full visual identity, website design, and Webflow development.

The design challenge was distinctive: this isn't a product or a company, it's an idea — that AI governance requires new forms of diplomatic collaboration, and that the standards being negotiated today will shape technology for decades. The visual identity needed to feel institutional enough for government audiences while remaining engaging enough that a technologist or civil society researcher would actually spend time with the content.

The website design prioritised content hierarchy. The initiative's flagship output — a comprehensive playbook titled "Negotiating Technical Standards for Artificial Intelligence" — needed to be the clear focal point, with supporting research, country-specific governance analysis, and global framework documentation organised in a way that invited exploration rather than overwhelming visitors with policy density.

Built on Webflow, the site at techdiplomacy.aspi.org.au was developed for easy content updates by the research team, ensuring the platform could evolve as the AI governance landscape shifts. From logo to launch, Everything Design gave this cross-border research initiative a distinct identity — professional, forward-looking, and independent — that stands on its own while respecting the institutional credibility of both ASPI and CIS behind it. This project grew directly out of Everything Design's long-standing relationship with ASPI, demonstrating how retainer partnerships often lead to new, strategically important work.
